Matthew Payne is the Vicar. As the senior pastor at Christ Church, Matthew ultimately co-ordinates all our services, pastoral care and activities. Matthew leads the church with the Wardens and the Church Council (which he chairs). Matthew is married to Roz and has three children.

Rosie Houghton and Andrew Timberlake are the Churchwardens. Churchwardens are elected annually by the congregation as the senior lay leaders and representatives of the church. They are responsible for the church building and its contents, and are involved whenever a new Vicar is appointed.

Neil Jeffers is the Curate. As the assistant pastor, Neil supports the Vicar in his responsibilities. Neil has particular responsibility for co-ordinating Christ Church’s small groups and training the group leaders. He also chairs Christ Church’s mission committee. Neil is married to Anna and has two children.

Richard Soanes is the Administrator. He runs the church office (open 9:00-12:15, Monday-Friday) and arranges all bookings and use of our facilities.
