Prayer is at the heart of everything that happens at Christ Church. In prayer we confess our own weakness and inability to do what we should, we ask God for his power to be at work and we claim the promises he has made to his people.
We meet to pray once a fortnight on a Tuesday evening from 7:30-8:30pm in the church lounge. We pray for anything and everything – events in the world, God’s mission overseas, our own needs as a church, our community of Lowestoft, and those who are sick or in particular need that we know of.
After the meeting, many people will stay on for tea, coffee, and to catch up with one another.
We encourage everyone who considers themselves part of the church family at Christ Church to commit themselves to regular attendance at the prayer meeting.
