There’s so much Christian stuff out there on the web and it can be hard to know where to begin and what to trust. Here are some suggestions – apps, podcasts, videos and websites – that we’ve found useful. We don’t necessarily endorse everything every resource says, but we hope that they will feed you and equip you.
Prayer Mate App
This free phone app is great for helping you to remember what to pray for. You enter in people and issues that are close to your heart and when you open the app it reminds you of what you could pray for.
ESV Bible App
This free phone app is the Bible translation we use in church and includes free Global Study Bible notes and an audible Bible.
321 Course App
A phone app course from Speak Life that helps people new to the Christian faith think about God, the world and you.
You Version Bible App
Different Bible translations and audible versions, you can make notes.
Daily Bible Study App
This is easy to navigate with different Bible translations, including audible versions.
Logos Bible Study App
This has a range of Bible translations and links them to various study notes.
Speak Life Podcast
A superb podcast engaging with contemporary culture with Jesus at the centre.
Reading Between the Lines Podcast
This is fantastic for a daily time in the Bible. Taking one bible phrase each day, Glen Scrivener takes from Genesis to Revelation. It’s based on his two books by the same title (also recommended!).
Paul Blackham Podcasts
Paul is a Jesus-loving teacher and has put loads of great stuff up on YouTube. Check out his series on the Psalms and a series called Christ Centred Cosmic Civilization that’ll get you thinking about all kinds of stuff.
Faith in Kids
Lots of useful resources on teaching and raising children. In particular, parents need to check out the parenting podcast.
Desiring God
Lots of useful resources and podcasts showing how we can find joy in God in all of life. An American website founded by preacher John Piper.
The Gospel Coalition
A vast store of resources on all kinds of subjects and includes a podcast. Sometimes not as Jesus-centred as it could be and is focused on America, but still much to feed on.
Bible Project Videos
Watch summary videos to every book of the Bible and also on many topics. The videos are very well produced, but can go a bit wonky on theology in places (e.g., on God’s justice against evil).
GotQuestions
A website to get answers to questions people have about the Bible and the Christian faith.
Bethinking
A website to help UK students answer big questions people ask.
With the Perrys
A very real and gritty podcast talking everyday Christianity, Biblical and engaging – especially relevant for young adults.
BCUK
This has resources on topics such as anger, adoption, anxiety, emotions and childlessness. Even more on the American partner organisation
CCEF.
